FAXCOM Integration with MFPs

The FAXCOM Server integrates with Multifunction Peripherals (MFPs) from a range of vendors – HP, Xerox, Sharp, e-Copy, FabSoft, and Lexmark – to enable network users to send faxes as easily as they make copies.   In addition, the HP, Xerox, and eCopy integrations support both sending faxes from and receiving to the device.  

Since one MFP can replace multiple traditional copying/printing/scanning devices, their use in corporate environments has become more and more widespread. By consolidating multiple functions in one device, businesses can save valuable time, resources and office space.  Moreover, taking this consolidation one step further and integrating the MFP with a centralized fax server results in even greater savings and productivity improvements.

FAXCOM for HP

• Integrates seamlessly with the HP line of MFPs and Digital Sender devices to implement network fax capabilities throughout an entire organization
• Routes incoming faxes to any HP MFP on the network according to DID number, DTMF number, or a specific fax port on the FAXCOM server
• Enables users to send faxes by simply loading the document in either the MFP or Digital Sender, pressing Fax, and entering a fax number

FAXCOM for Xerox Document Centre

• Sends from and receives faxes to Xerox devices – both WorkCentre and Document Centre machines.
• To send from the Xerox device, simply select the fax option from the console and enter a fax number.
• To receive at the Xerox device, add the device to the fax service User List and enable printing of received faxes on special media, delivering received faxes to a specific output tray, and printing to a device that has Job-Based Accounting (JBA) enabled.
• To deliver to a specific user at the device, add the user to the fax service User List; fax jobs are received to the Xerox device as Secure Print, enabling the administrator to customize the Secure Print PIN code on a per-user basis.

FAXCOM for Sharp

• Enables Sharp OSA™-enabled MFP users to scan and fax
• Supports user authentication via Active Directory, LDAP, email, or local user list
• Provides capabilities to create and manage multiple cover pages, as well as administer user permissions for fax priority and scheduling
• Tracks, stores, and reports all fax activity in a searchable database

FAXCOM for eCopy ShareScan OP

• Because the FAXCOM technology is built right into the screen, users send outgoing faxes as easily as they make copies; users can even preview the fax before sending to ensure there are no unwanted page breaks.

FAXCOM for FabSoft

• Integration with FabSoft's Reform interfaces provides form enhancement and automatic fax distribution from any operating system, application or device.  Reform captures the print stream, extracts the important fax information, enhances it and automatically distributes it to printers, MFPs, email, archive, and the FAXCOM Fax Server.

FAXCOM for Lexmark

• Sending faxes from Lexmark MFPs through the FAXCOM server, rather than through a dedicated phone line, optimizes your telecommunications infrastructure by eliminating the need to install additional phone lines.
